Is Texas governor Rick Perry REALLY corrupt and in the pocket of special interest groups?
There’ve been constant suspicions about his lobbying for weakening building safety codes to satisfy builders who want to put up shoddy sub-standard housing in hurricane zones. That would be bad enough, but over the last couple years there’ve been constant questions about his promotion of private investment in toll roads and misuse of eminent domain to appropriate rural land held by private Texans.
Should we trust a shady politician who acts contrary to Texas interests just because special interest groups lobby him with back-room deals??
