Any opinions on Property Management in Austin, TX?

I’ve had 2 really bad experiences! The 1st company leased to people with no social security or criminal or really bad credit, just to get a commision. They also jacked up repair costs and fabricated things. The 2nd company didn’t watch the tenants and also allowed a handiman to charge us whatever he wanted without questioning. Also, we are really easy to get along with, but we want to make the final decisions for maintenance. We have 9 really great properties in good areas! Please give me a smart, ethical company! I need someone now.

Sounds like you are a cheap landlord who doesn’t want to let a property management company manage but they don’t want to do it themselves, either.

If you want to oversee maintenence, I suggest you self-manage your properties because thinking the PM company is going to want to be micro-managed on maintence issues is a ridiculous expectation on your part.
