I’m moving, and need some help?

Okay well my mom and dad are divorced and now my mom has a new boy friend. They have dating for about 8 months, and now they are so “in love” and he is moving to Lake George. He works as a builder dude, and he’s building us the house. I mean it’s nice, it has a driveway like as long as my street, a lake right next to it with its old beach and its ALL private property. But my point is I’m a 13 year old girl and don’t want to leave all my friends. How can i get over this, I’m crying so hard, and so are half my friends. I might start a new school, but i might just do a online school…
i don’t wanna have to start a new school if my mom makes me.
and plus my moms boy friend has 2 daughters, 14 and 17 i’ve met them once and im sure the 14 year old hates me, what can i do to get along with her?

it’s so hard to leave your friends…i know, i’m speaking from personal experience here. let me tell you, it’s not easy, but after a few weeks, things start getting better. get involved in sports, band, choir…whatever it is that you love, join in at the new school, and you will start making friends. i didn’t think i would make new friends when i moved to a new school in 7th grade, but i ended up with better and closer friends at the new school than i had at the old one. keep in contact with your old friends online, but don’t let that keep you from making new friends.

this all kind of ties into befriending your mom’s bf’s 14 yr old daughter. find things that the two of you have in common, try to hang out with her with out being annoying, and be friendly. she’s probably going through the same thing that you are and is feeling the same way.
