A Fresh Start And New Home On The South Coast

I am over the moon. I have just been told that a new job awaits me in another part of the country with the same company that has employed me for two years. It is not only a new position, but it requires moving to a new town in a different area of the country. I will be taking up a new post on the south coast in a small town called Worthing. Worthing is a quaint old Victorian seaside town, situated in West Sussex. There are plenty of types of accommodation available from new builds to period flats and houses.

I am from the North of England where the way of life is generally different to lifestyles in the south. It is not just the cost of living that is different, but how people relate to one another. People from the south are seen as being shallow and unfriendly, although I have not seen this myself. The most obvious difference though is the price of housing both to rent and buy. It is possible to find 3 bedroom properties up north for £150,000, but unlikely in the south. For this price, you would be limited to maybe a one-bedroom flat in a town or a bedsit.

Thankfully I don’t have the need to find new homes in West Sussex as the hard work of relocating will be done by my employers. Before I can view any new homes that may be offered, I will be moving into rented accommodation for the first six months. My focus will be on bungalows in Worthing, I dont mind which type so long as it will be a good temporary hideout for myself and family.
